Prior to co-founding Groom Energy, Bob held multiple positions within Orion Energy Services, a Midwest-based manufacturer of energy efficient commercial lighting and other technologies. Bob began his tenure at Orion as engineering manager. From there he quickly moved from engineering to national account sales where he doubled revenues with a large customer base and was promoted to vice president of sales for the Northeast.
Earlier in his career, Bob spent eight years with Tecumseh Products Company, a Wisconsin-based manufacturing company. There, Bob held multiple roles including engineering manager, group plant engineer, maintenance manager and manufacturing manager, in which he focused on the efficiencies related to process, facilities and energy.
Bob attended University of Wisconsin Fox Valley and completed degree programs in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial and Facilities Engineering, Energy Management and Procurement.

As Chief Revenue Officer, Adin is responsible for leading Dalkia’s team of sales and development professionals that are focused on designing and implementing large-scale, multi-site energy efficiency projects nationwide. He and his team foster successful relationships with new and existing customers, concentrating on advancing the scale and speed of their projects to fully realize the benefits of programmatic rollouts.

Adin joined Dalkia (formerly Groom Energy) in their early years and has served in a variety of leadership and sales roles throughout his tenure.
Prior to Dalkia, Adin held multiple senior sales positions with Plan4Demand, a supply chain consulting firm specializing in consumer-packaged goods logistics and demand planning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Penn State University where he completed the Behrend Honors Program.

As chief financial officer, Diane is responsible for coordinating and supporting the development of Dalkia U.S. while ensuring quality integration and sustainable performance for all company activities. She has been with Dalkia since 2009, previously working as a finance manager for the central Europe area. She then moved up to corporate roles, first as the group head of performance and long-term planning where she designed, maintained and coordinated the reporting of a set of financial indicators for decision-making purposes, and then as the executive coordinator for the CEO of Dalkia, EDF Group.

Before coming to the United States, Diane operated as deputy international director and implemented the international reporting and governance required to supervise the activities newly acquired by Dalkia Group EDF in Poland, Russia, the UK and the U.S.
Diane has previously held positions with Arther Andersen, Cogetherm-EDF Group and Warner Bros. France & Benelux. She graduated from Nanterre University in France with a degree in economics and has also has a master’s degree in finance from the Paris School of Business.

Kyle Krow
Vice President of Sales and Business Development
As vice president of sales and business development, Kyle oversees revenue and overall sales growth, as well as the gross margin and profitability development for Dalkia Aegis. His responsibilities include leading the sales team and creating growth strategies that align with Dalkia’s overall vision. Prior to this position, Kyle worked as a Strategic Accounts Manager and as a CHP Account Executive for Dalkia Aegis, specializing in federal government and military applications as well as developing and managing large target accounts.
As vice president of sales and business development, Kyle oversees revenue and overall sales growth, as well as the gross margin and profitability development for Dalkia Aegis. His responsibilities include leading the sales team and creating growth strategies that align with Dalkia’s overall vision. Prior to this position, Kyle worked as a Strategic Accounts Manager and as a CHP Account Executive for Dalkia Aegis, specializing in federal government and military applications as well as developing and managing large target accounts.
In his time with Dalkia Aegis, Kyle developed and sold the first military CHP projects in company history, including the largest single project in Dalkia Aegis history. He has led the Sales team in overall sales for four straight years (2018–2021) and developed the company’s first solar project.
Kyle graduated from Western New England University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. He currently lives in South Hadley, Massachusetts, with his wife Chelsea, their two daughters and the family dog. In his spare time, he likes boating, hiking, renovating his home, and spending time with his family and friends.

JC Florenson is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams focused on designing and implementing projects to help local governments and private organizations create more efficient, safe, resilient and equitable communities.
JC has more than 15 years of business development and executive management in Europe, Asia and the United States. Prior to joining the Dalkia team, he served in a variety of leadership roles in which he helped Fortune 500 companies and startups successfully grow their revenues, build successful partnerships, foster long term relationships with their clients and drive continued organizational success. Recognized as a creative leader with emphasis on driving innovative solutions in the space of smart cities and utilities, he has a successful track record with complex long-term project structuring and financing (PPP/PFI).
JC holds a master’s degree in management from Kedge Business School and lives with his family in Houston, TX.

Michael Keene

In this role, Michael is responsible for all business operations within Dalkia Aegis and Dalkia Energy Solutions, including streetlighting operations, project management, electrical services and HVAC services as well as cogeneration production, service, engineering and installation.

Michael has worked his way up through a variety of positions at Dalkia including industrial project manager, senior director of field operations and vice president of operations. Now, as COO, he is now in charge of maintaining continued organizational success and driving revenue growth by managing the production, service, research and development and engineering teams.
Prior to joining Dalkia, Michael had extensive food packaging industry experience and worked as a utilities supervisor at Pinnacle Foods Inc. He attended Georgia Southwestern State University and, in his free time, enjoys RVing with his family and playing the guitar.

Prior to joining Dalkia, he was the co-founder and CTO of SoCore Energy, a distributed solar company, where he managed engineering and operations, business development and project financing. Following 5 years of successful growth, SoCore was acquired by Edison International and later sold to Engie. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management and is a NABCEP Certified PV Installer and a licensed solar contractor in the states of California, Florida and Illinois.

Dr. Mark French

As chief human resources officer, Mark is responsible for developing human resource strategies to align with Dalkia Energy Solutions’ vision and support the company’s business plan and strategic direction. Prior to this role, Mark also served as Dalkia’s senior health, safety & environmental (HSE) manager. With two decades of experience in various industries at the site, regional and global levels, he is dedicated to driving safety improvements through systemic people-based approaches.

Mark brings extensive experience to Dalkia, previously holding similar HSE positions at Wayfair, Amazon and Honeywell PMT. He also holds memberships in the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), American Psychological Association (APA), Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Mark has continued to advance his education throughout his career, earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Murray State University, a master’s degree in business administration from Bethel University and a Ph.D. in industrial & organizational psychology from Capella University. Mark is also a registered emergency medical technician (EMT) and previously helped to save the life of a coworker who suffered a heart attack on the job. He lives near Fulton, Kentucky with his wife and two children and enjoys working around the house, golfing and playing Xbox.

Nick Balster

As senior vice president of operations, Nick Balster oversees the ABQ operations, engineering, service operations, project management and Northeast Electrical Serviceseams.

In previous roles at Dalkia, Nick has focused on supporting the company’s growth in the United States through organic strategies and creating merger and acquisition scenarios for profitable growth. Before that, he spent ten years at Precision Castparts in a variety of roles, including corporate energy management. Throughout his career, no matter his position, he has consistently worked to clarify and execute long-term visions through pragmatic, step-by-step processes, which he credits to his early education and training as an engineer.
Nick received his bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his master’s in business administration from the Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. He currently lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with his wife and three children. His passion for green energy translates into his personal life, as he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and is a passionate cyclist—ؙboth on the roads and in the woods.
